Dear Parents and Pupils
- Welcome
Welcome back to school. Wishing you all a SUCCESSFUL 2012.
The most important question on every ones’ mind is how to make up for lost time caused by the recent strikes.
Half term is to remain as planned to accommodate the Educational Excursions and Programmes scheduled.
CIS Staff Training day is to be cancelled for this term and will be replaced with a full teaching day.
We have also decided to postpone the exams by a few days. Exams will now run from 19th to 29th March 2012. The last school day for pupils will be 30th March
The reports will only be ready for collection on Wednesday 4th April 2012, followed by parent conferences on the same day both in the Primary and the Secondary Sections.
In the Primary Section, parents and pupils will collect reports from their Class Teachers. All teachers will be available for conferencing in their classrooms. A time for collection is to be confirmed in due course.
In the Secondary Section Reports will be available in the Main Entrance of the School (The Plaza). Teachers will be available for conferencing in the Gazebo. Time for collection is to be confirmed.
- Academic Accolades Assemblies
Both Primary and Secondary Accolades Assemblies are to be postponed to Friday, 27th January 2012

The parents of pupils receiving awards will be invited to the assembly. Invites will be forwarded by no later than Tuesday 24th January 2012.

- Primary Section School Readiness Tests
No Change of dates and school readiness test for pupils applying to enter Reception class will be held as per the School Desk Calendar and the Year Planner on the school website – being:

- Secondary Entrance Exams
There will be no change of dates and will be held as per the School Desk Calendar and the Year Planner on the school website, which is Saturday 4 February 2012
- Sports Tour To Olashore
There will be No Change of date. To be held over the weekend of 10t, 11, 12 February 2012. Parents and pupils will be informed of arrangements in due course.
- Year 10 Leadership Tour to South Africa
No Change of date. Please ensure all necessary documentation is collected from Mr Akindele. Documents are also on the school Website
- Year 4 French Language Tour to Cotonou
No Change of date. Please ensure all necessary documentation is collected from Mr Obi. Relevant notices and documents will also be on the school Website.
- BOOSTER Classes
Classes to be scheduled for IGCSE (YEAR 11’S) and the Check points (Year 9 exams) as per the Desk Calendar and the schedule uploaded on the school website. The registration for these exams will take place as per the original term planner and you will be contacted by the relevant school officers.

In the absence of a VP Secondary, Parents are requested to please note that should they have any requestor issues regarding their children in the secondary section they are to address the issues with the following Senior Management Staff.

Wider Curriculum Issues : Mr. Bewaji or Mr. Akindele or your child’s Year Tutor
Pastoral Issues: Mrs Sotunde or Mrs. Itemeh or your child’s Year Tutor.
