Thank you for your application to Grange School for your child requesting a place in Year 7, Year 8, Year 9 and Year 10 for the 2010/2011 School Year, starting in September 2010.

Examination Materials
Candidates should be provided with a mathematical set, a 30cm ruler, 3 sharpened pencils, a white eraser, sharpener and a transparent pencil case.
Dress Code
Candidates must dress in their full school uniforms.
Refreshment
Candidates will be served light refreshment. The Tuck Shop will also be opened. Candidates may bring water bottles, not flasks, with drinking water.
Feedback
Lists of successful candidates in the Entrance Examination will be pasted on the notice board on Monday, 15th March, 2010.
Principal’s Address
Finally, we kindly request that parents drop off their wards at the plaza, where they will be received by members of staff. Parents are to proceed directly to the Gazebo, the venue designated for the principal’s address. If you wish to remain in the school premises after the principal’s address, refreshments will be available for you to buy.

Dear Parents,
Welcome
Grange staff members wish Grange families happiness, peace, success and prosperity in 2010. We trust parents and children enjoyed quality time together over the festive season.
Personnel
Mr. Fajimi, a teacher in our Mathematics Department, has been unwell for some time and is currently recuperating. He will resume teaching once fully recovered. In the interim, contingency plans are in place to ensure that Mr. Fajimi’s classes are receiving the best possible tuition.
Students’ Academic Progress – Term 1
At the end of term 1, many students took home reports, reflecting excellent academic results. These students are to be congratulated and are urged to continue to strive for excellence this term. Parents of students who have achieved a GPA of 2.50 or below are reminded that their child/children are academically at risk. Letters will be forwarded to parents next week expressing the School’s concern and urging you to meet with key staff members, so that strategies can be formulated to improve your child’s/children’s results.
Parents’ Conferences – Key Stages 3 and 4:
Parents’ Conferences will be hosted in the Multi-Purpose Hall on Saturday, 16th January 2010 as follows:
- Key Stages 3: 09:30 – 11:00 a.m.
- Key Stages 4: 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

A short but busy term lies ahead. The normal co-curricular activities programme commences on Monday, 18th January 2010. Please take note of the following important dates:
- House Meetings with House Coordinators (no sportswear necessary) – Thursday, 14th January 2010 from 2.35 to 4.00 p.m.;
- Inter-House Sports Day march-past practice at Grange School Sports Field (all students to bring sportswear for this practice) – Friday, 15th January 2010 from 2.35 to 4.00 p.m.;
- Soccer training – Saturday, 16th January 2010 (players will receive a circular, outlining arrangements);
