Building
the Future
We
aim to provide a curriculum sufficiently broad
to ensure that each pupil has the opportunity
to identify his/her own interests and strengths
and to keep their options open for as long as
possible. In the first three years of secondary
school, all pupils study a full range of academic
subjects and participate in creative subjects
and sporting activities, thus developing all their
skills and laying secure foundations for the future.
Developing
independent research and learning skills is part
of the process of preparing boys and girls for
the world beyond school and equipping them for
life-long learning. Access to the latest information
technology is widespread throughout the school.
Pupils use the information available through the
latest technology together with the resources
available in our well stocked library to attain
their highest possible levels.
Inspiring
the desire for adventure and discovery, fostering
a spirit of curiosity and encouraging a thirst
for knowledge are all part of a broad and balanced
education from which all Grange School pupils
benefit. The activities which take place outside
the classrooms during our many and varied school
trips both compliment and capitalize on the work
done inside the classrooms. It is often these
experiences that enrich and inspire our pupils
to extend themselves beyond any limits they imagined
possible. In this way, their self-confidence is
developed whilst allowing them to maintain a healthy
respect for all that is yet to be learned!
