This year at Grange School, our theme is “Be The Change.” But what does that really mean for you and me? Let’s find out.
What does Be The Change mean?
It’s simple: don’t just wait for things to get better — be the reason they get better. It is about choosing to do the little things every day that can make a big difference in your life and in the lives of others.
Why is this theme important?
Because the world needs people who don’t just talk about change but actually live it. And that’s you, Grangers! You don’t have to be an adult or famous to make a difference. From being honest and working hard to showing kindness or trying something new — those choices add up to real change.
How can YOU be the change?
• In your learning: Don’t settle for “I can’t do it.” Ask questions, practice, and surprise yourself.
• In your friendships: Look out for each other. A simple “Are you okay?” could brighten someone’s whole day.
• In your community: Join school activities, help keep your environment clean, or share your talents.
• In yourself: Push past fear. Remember, change starts when you step out of your comfort zone.
Imagine you are walking past the Gazebo and you see litter on the floor. Most people just step over it and move on. But you decide to pick it up and throw it in the bin. Soon, your friends start doing the same because they see your example. Before long, the school environment is clean, and everyone is proud of it. That’s being the change — one small action that inspires others.
Together as Grangers
This year, let us not wait for someone else to do it. Let us be brave, kind, and determined. Every one of us has the power to make a difference.
Remember: The future belongs to those who choose to Be The Change!
