Grange Students Make Their Mark at TEDxYouth Event
On Friday, September 19, 2025, three of our students — Manuel Chukwuocha, Arabelle Adefarakan, and Subomi Omole — alongside Mr. Timothy Alabi, proudly represented Grange School at the TEDxYouth event hosted by Meadow Hall, Lekki.
This year’s theme, “Innovation,” brought together bright young thinkers and trailblazers to share their unique perspectives and inspire meaningful conversations. Grange was especially proud to see two of our own students featured on the platform: Manuel Chukwuocha as a TEDx speaker and Arabelle Adefarakan as a guest speaker.
Student Contributions
The highlight of the event was the exceptional performance by our students.
• Manuel Chukwuocha delivered a powerful and thought-provoking talk titled “I Am”, where he explored personal identity and self-worth as the foundation for creativity and progress. His presentation was both inspiring and deeply reflective, earning him well-deserved recognition with a plaque as a TEDx speaker.
• Arabelle Adefarakan captivated the audience with her eloquence and insightful presentation as a guest speaker. Her contribution was warmly received, and she will be awarded a certificate in recognition of her impactful delivery.
Impact and Takeaways
Beyond the stage, the experience was equally transformative. The students engaged in stimulating conversations on their way back, reflecting on the diverse ideas shared by other speakers. They spoke about the importance of public speaking, critical thinking, and idea-sharing in today’s world, highlighting the event as both a celebration and a learning journey.
The TEDxYouth experience reaffirmed the value of innovative thinking and the power of young voices in shaping the future. At Grange, we are committed to nurturing these skills within our curriculum, providing platforms for our learners to express themselves confidently and contribute meaningfully to the global intellectual community.
